— Case study · Design & development

International Outdoor has over 100 billboard locations with many digital billboards available. Fusionary was asked to provide help with custom HTML and CSS files for dynamic billboard creative.
— What shipped
Custom HTML and CSS creative files
Dynamic content pulled via API or RSS feed
Multiple aspect ratios per creative
Remote updates without new artwork
Browser-based testing and QA before upload
— The brief
Dynamic content is pulled in via API or RSS feed and placed with other graphic elements, allowing the billboard to be constantly updated remotely.

Over 100 billboard locations, many of them digital.
01
— The problem
Digital billboards are not all the same size, and static creative goes stale the moment the underlying data changes.
02
— How we helped
Deliverables are old-school HTML files and CSS, which also let us test and QA directly in the browser before anything reaches a board.
Content arrives by API or RSS feed and is composed with graphic elements so boards refresh without new artwork.
Creative files include the multiple aspect ratios needed across the digital board inventory.
We QA the display and live data in the browser, then zip the files and upload them into the media distribution platform.
03
— The outcome
International Outdoor runs digital boards that stay current on their own, across sizes, with the dynamic elements verified before they go live.
API and RSS-driven content keeps boards updated remotely instead of requiring new artwork every cycle.
Multiple aspect ratios ship with each creative so the same campaign runs across the inventory.
Browser-based testing covers both layout and live data feeds before files reach the distribution platform.
